Founder - Vedika Luthra
Meet Vedika Luthra, a remarkable high school student, whose passion for environment care and protection has driven her to establish a nonprofit organization like no other. Fueled by an unyielding desire to create positive change, Vedika had an innate connection with nature and a genuine concern for the ecological issues affecting our planet. Rather than succumbing to disillusionment, Vedika harnessed her passion and embarked on a mission to make a tangible difference. Her unwavering dedication led to the birth of “YES” in summer of 2023, aimed at promoting environmental awareness and protection amongst young people.
She is guided by the belief that instilling environmental awareness in young people early in their lives, will lend itself to making them environmentally conscious adults. Join us as Vedika continues to pave the way for a sustainable and harmonious tomorrow.
Our Accomplishments
At YES!, we are dedicated to empowering individuals and fostering community growth. Through various programs, we aim to create lasting change and support those in need. Since the Summer of 2023, our participation and donation have substantially increased. Till date we have:
- Conducted 30+ reading, writing, and art programs that were attended on average by 12 elementary school children;
- Collected $6000+ in donations
- Recycled more than 800 glass bottles
- Received voluntary support of more than 12 individuals
